Vin de France | Rouge | 2024

Fabien Brutout and Mathieu Cosme of Domaine de Beaumont founded Le Facteur as a creative laboratory for joyful and accessible "natural" wines. Made from Gamay and Pineau d'Aunis grapes, these wines are crafted from hand-harvested grapes and fermented using native yeasts in concrete tanks. A deliberate and natural choice for wines meant to be enjoyed right away.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The nose is rich and indulgent, with notes of cherry and red fruit candy, along with a hint of spice. The palate is round, full-bodied, bursting with fruit and freshness, featuring a delicately pulpy texture and carbonation that makes the whole experience more delightful and invigorating. The finish plays the card of rustic charm, with even more alluring fruit and a stunning freshness that will win over even the most skeptical.

At Frantz Saumon, Chenin takes multiple forms: sparkling, dry and crisp, or more opulent cuvées depending on the vintage. The work in Montlouis and Vouvray is based on respectful viticulture and delicate pressings that yield bright, luminous juices. The estate focuses on clear, unburdened aromatics, combined with a supple texture. The wines often gain verticality with a few months of aging, while maintaining precise fruit expression. The overall impression is one of rigorous simplicity, characteristic of great artisanal Chenins.
