Vin de France | Rouge | 2023

The Cros'Roc cuvée pays homage to the art of blending, combining 60% Négrette and 40% Fer Servadou from vines over 20 years old. Vinified using traditional methods, this cuvée undergoes extended fermentation with regular punching down, without the addition of oenological additives. After meticulous separation of the juices, the wine is aged for 11 months in concrete tanks, giving it a harmonious texture and balanced structure.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The color is dark and deep. On the nose, aromas of ripe black fruits and forest floor notes unfold, a sign of fine maturity. On the palate, the attack is clean, revealing a rich and silky texture. The spicy and slightly earthy notes of Fer Servadou delicately intertwine with the fruity sweetness of Négrette. The wine is full-bodied and structured, leaving a finish that is fresh and balanced—perfect for pairing with hearty dishes.

Domaine Le Roc

Domaine Le Roc

Loire | France

In Fronton, Domaine Le Roc has for many years been dedicated to offering a precise and masterful interpretation of Négrette, the emblematic grape variety of the appellation. The vineyard is situated on predominantly gravelly soils, which promote more ethereal expressions and a more pronounced palate dynamic.

Négrette is cultivated to achieve a vibrant and fresh profile, featuring floral notes and an unusual tension for the region. Winemaking prioritizes precision and measured extractions to avoid any heaviness. The aging processes remain understated, designed to complement the wine without masking its inherent character.

The estate also produces more exclusive white wines, distinguished by their balance and clarity. All the cuvées exhibit a clear and consistent signature, offering a distinct and recognizable interpretation of Fronton, mindful of freshness and terroir expression.
