Côtes du Rhône | Rouge | 2025

A naturally vinified wine (no fining or filtration, with a micro-dose of sulfur added at bottling), made from hand-harvested grapes, with a short fermentation period of 8 to 12 days in concrete tanks, followed by ten months of aging in concrete. The blend results in a rich, juicy red that balances density, tension, and minerality. The wine is supple and expressive, with no artificial elements.

Our Review of the Cuvée

The color is a deep ruby, captivating at first glance. The nose is intense and rich, blending ripe red fruits—strawberry and black cherry—with herbaceous, spicy, and slightly floral notes. On the palate, the attack is juicy, giving way to a dense yet supple texture that is crisp and slightly briny. The firm yet elegant tannins are perfectly supported by a lively acidity that energizes the wine. The finish lingers on fruit and dried herbs, offering a beautiful balance between richness and freshness. An ideal Côtes-du-Rhône for grilled meats, stews, or Provençal cuisine.

In Cairanne, Marcel Richaud has long worked as naturally as breathing: without seeking to impress, simply by respecting Grenache and Carignan. The wines possess a supple presence, a breadth without heaviness. No over-extraction, no showmanship: just unconstrained fruit, airy textures, and that serene depth typical of the estate. In short: it flows effortlessly. The Rhône in its most digestible form.
