This cuvée is a lovely blend of carefully selected Cabernet Franc and Malbec. After 2 to 3 weeks of fermentation and 24 to 30 months of aging in concrete tanks, the wine gains complexity while remaining pure and expressive. With no fining and very little sulfur, it retains all its natural freshness. The result is a balanced, elegant, and well-structured wine.

Our Review of the Cuvée

On the nose, this Bordeaux offers lovely aromas of ripe red fruit, accompanied by floral notes and a slight hint of mint, reflecting all the charm of its Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend. On the palate, it is fruity, rich, and well-balanced, with noticeable yet supple tannins that give it structure. The finish is fresh and clean, a true reflection of careful winemaking and aging in concrete tanks, jars, and demi-muids. An elegant, authentic, and easy-to-enjoy wine.

Château Tire-Pé

Bordeaux | France

At Château Tire-Pé, the history of the estate is reflected in the gentle slopes of its clay-rich hillsides, where Merlot takes on a very approachable character without losing any of its depth. Valérie and Hugues Ournac have been practicing organic viticulture for many years, constantly seeking a balance between ripeness and freshness. The reds feature straightforward fruit, sometimes with a hint of spice, supported by supple tannins that gain structure with aeration. Aging is kept moderate to preserve a direct, almost indulgent expression of the Entre-Deux-Mers terroir. The estate reminds us that a Bordeaux can be sincere, precise, and perfectly approachable, without artifice or the pursuit of flashy effects.
