This dry white wine is the result of meticulous craftsmanship, produced without any chaptalization, ensuring exceptional purity. Managed by Daniel and Valérie Alibrand on a gravelly-sandy terroir, the vineyard is cultivated using organic farming methods. The grapes are harvested by hand, with particular care taken during the successive sorting processes. Vinification uses indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in carefully selected barrels.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the moment it’s opened, this wine surprises with delicate aromas of ripe fruit and subtle honey. On the palate, the texture is silky, revealing elegant flavors of white peach and acacia blossoms. The Sémillon, which makes up the majority of the blend, envelops the palate with a lovely roundness, while the Sauvignon brings a touch of refreshing liveliness. Muscadelle rounds out the blend with its delicate floral notes. This wine reveals a lingering finish with mineral notes.

In Barsac, Alliance explores a modern take on Sauternes, where the sweetness remains present but restrained. Meticulous sorting yields precise aromas, blending candied citrus and floral notes. Extended aging refines the texture without weighing it down. The estate clearly seeks balance rather than opulence. A fresher, more dynamic vision of Sauternes.
