Unique 2022

Coteaux de l'Aubance | Blanc | 2022

This precious wine is the result of meticulous vinification, where Chenin Blanc grapes are manually selected from schist hillsides to achieve unique purity and concentration. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels and naturally ceases to preserve a balanced sweetness. After 18 months of aging in barrels, this wine develops a complex and invigorating structure, revealing elegant notes of spices and candied fruits.

Our Review of the Cuvée

From the first nose, this wine exudes an enchanting bouquet of ripe pineapple, fresh lemongrass, and delicate flowers such as linden and vine blossom. On the palate, the richness of candied grapes harmoniously blends with a refreshing vibrancy. On the palate, spicy notes of nutmeg intermingle with the sweetness of toasted hazelnuts, providing a tasting experience where each flavor is distinctly, yet gracefully present. This wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as foie gras toasts or a delightful fruit dessert.

Domaine de Bablut

Domaine de Bablut

Loire | France

In Anjou, Domaine de Bablut primarily cultivates Chenin and Cabernet Franc, emblematic grape varieties of the region. The vineyard largely rests on schist soils, which impart a perceptible tension and vibrancy to the wines, evident in both whites and reds.

Vinification processes are conducted with precision, favoring moderate extractions to preserve fruit clarity and structural balance. White wines exhibit vibrant and linear profiles, while reds maintain a clear framework and a measured structure. Aging regimens remain understated, designed to complement the wine's substance without dictating its style.

All cuvées are characterized by an assertive sobriety and natural relief, offering a faithful and legible interpretation of the Anjou terroirs, without seeking artificial effects or ostentation.
