Grüner Veltliner von den Terrassen 2023

Kremstal | Blanc | 2023

A blend from four terraced plots, this wine is the result of meticulous winemaking involving destemming, crushing, and skin contact, followed by pneumatic pressing. Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in tanks, preserves the integrity of the aromas and offers a crystalline expression of the terroir, combining freshness and liveliness. The loess and limestone soil gives the wine its mineral character and promises a refined tasting experience.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This wine reveals a straw-yellow color with green and silvery highlights. On the nose, the intensity of lemon zest blends elegantly with hints of wet chalk. On the palate, it offers a taut texture with pronounced acidity and a mouthfeel that is both fresh and pure. Citrus notes bring a sense of liveliness, while the clean, refreshing finish evokes the clarity of spring water. Ideal with oysters or fish tartare, it will delight with its minerality and elegance.

Vitkikultur Moser

Vitkikultur Moser

Lower Austria | Austria

In Austria, the Vitikultur Moser estate is managed by the Moser family on the slopes of Kremstal. The vineyard is cultivated organically, with a focus on mastering natural balances and ensuring varietal clarity.

The Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings are vinified in a deliberately understated style, aiming for direct and precise profiles. Tension serves as a guiding principle, supported by refined fruit and a clear expression of the terroirs. Maturities are carefully controlled to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity.

Aging is primarily conducted in tanks or large oak casks (foudres), allowing for slow evolution without imprinting the wines. This approach promotes a faithful interpretation of the grape variety and vintage, free from artifice or over-extraction.

These wines are characterized by their clarity of expression, palate persistence, and overall consistency, offering a rigorous and clear interpretation of Kremstal's white wines.
