Domaine Guillot-Gonin
Corinne and Jean-Philippe Guillot-Gonin are a couple of winemakers from the Beaujolais region, heirs to a family history dating back to the early 19th century. Today, the estate spans 36 hectares spread across several Beaujolais crus, all cultivated using sustainable farming practices. In 2011, the uprooting of a very old vine in the Vavre terroir—originally planted by Corinne’s grandfather—marked a significant moment and gave rise to the cuvée “Les Larmes de Suzanne,” a moving tribute to the family legacy. As early as the 1950s, Corinne and Jean-Philippe’s grandfathers were among the first winemakers to deliver their bottles directly to Lyon’s bistros and bouchons. Today, each cultivates and vinifies their own vines, in a deliberate complementarity: Corinne seeks softness, fruit, and finesse, while Jean-Philippe prioritizes structure, tannins, and length, always preserving the fruit.
