Château Fontvert

Les Restanques 2022

Luberon | Rouge | 2022

This wine is a subtle blend of Syrah and Cinsault. Fermentation uses the yeasts naturally present on the grapes, resulting in an authentic wine. A short maceration preserves its roundness and fruitiness, complemented by 12 months of aging in tanks. A single, very light filtration before bottling ensures that the wine’s character is preserved, offering a pure and authentic experience. The Demeter label certifies respectful biodynamic viticulture.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Its deep garnet color with purplish highlights immediately catches the eye. The nose, delicate and rich, reveals aromas of candied red berries and violets, subtly enhanced by notes of incense and white pepper. On the palate, the wine is round and velvety, with flavors of blackberry and raspberry, accompanied by a slight salty touch that adds depth. The finish is lingering, marked by notes of pepper, violet, and a delicate hint of licorice. An elegant and harmonious wine, ideal for pairing with Provençal or lightly spiced dishes.

Château Fontvert

Provence | France

In Lourmarin, in the southern Luberon, Fontvert blends Provençal architecture with meticulous winemaking focused on Grenache, Syrah, and Vermentino. The reds unfold with a delicate, luminous structure. The whites glide across the palate with a freshness that is unexpected for the region. Biodynamic practices particularly enhance the clarity of the flavors. An elegant Provence, without any frills.
