Domaine Le Jonc Blanc

Fleur 2022

Bordeaux | Blanc | 2022

This white wine is the result of a winemaking process that respects nature, using native yeasts without any added chemicals, which gives it a rare authenticity. The Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Petit Manseng grape varieties blend beautifully on a clay-limestone and boulbène terroir. After a manual harvest, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 14 months in stainless steel tanks, lending finesse and complexity to its texture.

At Jonc Blanc, Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal have opted for demanding viticultural practices, close to biodynamics, to produce honest, structured, and at times intriguing wines. The estate works with a variety of grape types, including Sauvignon, Sémillon, Merlot, and Cabernet, primarily seeking to express the unique character of the site. The cuvées often exhibit a distinct profile, a dense texture, and a refreshing vitality. Cellar work remains minimally interventionist, which imparts a singular, highly recognizable personality to the wines.
