Our Review of the Cuvée

This red wine, made from a Mediterranean grape variety, offers an intense bouquet of red fruits and spices, with a hint of garrigue. On the palate, it is warm and full-bodied, with silky tannins and a lovely finish. Its velvety texture and lingering finish evoke convivial meals featuring authentic cuisine. Served slightly chilled, it pairs perfectly with grilled meat or a slow-cooked dish.

Le Jas des Papes

Le Jas des Papes

Rhône Valley | France

Le Jas des Papes is a 9-hectare estate located east of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, primarily in the Saumades area. Rooted in the winemaking tradition of the Rhône Valley, the estate was acquired in 2014 by Michel Audibert, a fifth-generation winemaker, after a century of family roots in Provence. Today, Sébastien Philibert and JP Meuwesen oversee the winemaking. The vineyard features a wide variety of soils, ranging from sand to rounded pebbles, sometimes intermingled within a single plot. Each plot-selection wine is harvested and vinified separately to fully capture the vineyard’s unique character. The old vines of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Clairette fully express the terroir’s identity. The estate has been certified organic since 2017 and works exclusively within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.
