Bourgogne Pinot noir 2022

Bourgogne | Red | 2022

This red Burgundy is the product of certified organic viticulture, grown on deep clay-limestone soils. The density of 10,000 vines per hectare promotes optimal grape concentration. Fermentation takes place in truncated wooden vats for 15 to 20 days, with partial destemming, followed by aging for 12 to 18 months in already used oak barrels, which gives the wine beautiful complexity and a balanced structure.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine opens with a subtle nose, delicately blending notes of red fruit and undergrowth, typical of its Savigny terroir. On the palate, the attack is both smooth and structured, revealing a silky and elegant texture. Aging in previously used oak barrels imparts light woody nuances that integrate harmoniously into the wine, leaving a persistent and refined finish. This is a wine that will pair beautifully with a fine cut of meat or a selection of mature cheeses, offering a refined and memorable tasting experience.

Chandon de Briailles

François de Nicolay

Bourgogne | France

In the heart of the Côte de Beaune, François de Nicolay, head of Domaine Chandon de Briailles, manages the vineyard biodynamically with constant attention to soil balance and precise ripening. This approach aims to preserve the natural expression of the terroir, without seeking artificial effects or technical overkill.

The Pinot Noir grapes are vinified using gentle extraction techniques, favoring the finesse of the texture and the purity of the fruit. The wines exhibit elegant profiles, built on clean red fruit and a measured length, with integrated tannins and great clarity. Aging remains restrained, designed to complement the structure without overpowering the wine.

The white wines, produced in smaller quantities, display a restrained mineral tension and a precise texture, true to the character of the Côte de Beaune soils. The entire process is distinguished by a deliberate restraint and great precision of execution, offering wines free of artifice, built
