Our vineyard is divided into different parcels over a little less than 30 kilometres around Lavauguyot and Château des Roches. In the south of the Paris basin, our vines are located on these coasts typical of our terroir. We work on about 75 hectares of vines, to which we can add an additional 40 hectares of vinification, and thanks to the diversity of the soils on which our vines are planted, we can offer a range of wines with really different expressions and characteristics. It consists of 4 vintages, 2 red and 2 white, mostly made from single grape varieties. We work with Sauvignons Blanc and Gris, Pinot Noir and the two Cabernets, our wines do not resemble the wines of yesterday, they are wines of today, contemporary wines in which we invest all our energy and know-how in order to preserve nature and to achieve an ideal of purity and intense taste.
Created in 1995 by Frédéric Brochet, Ampelidæ is a wine estate in Vienne producing organic wines that respect the environment with high quality standards. The Manoir de Lavauguyot is the historical and nerve centre where the offices and tasting room are located. It is in the heart of this 11th century manor house with its majestic troglodyte cellar that we welcome our guests. Château des Roches is the place where Ampelidae wines are vinified and its tufa cellars allow the bottles of the house to be aged gently.
Frédéric Brochet is the expert winegrower who manages the estate. He first and long time graduated several times, collected awards for his research and his doctoral thesis before taking a passion for wine and its world. Today, he uses his knowledge to produce complex wines that are very well kept.
