Domaine Baillais

Our vineyard is located in Fleurie in the heart of Beaujolais. We cultivate 4 hectares of vines on the gentle slopes typical of the region. Our wines are produced in the great Beaujolais appellations such as Juliénas, Moulin-à-Vent or Fleurie.

We are able to produce wines with different characters thanks to the terroirs that evolve according to the appellations. Thanks to our king grape variety, Gamay, we offer 5 vintages. Our 4 red wines and our rosé wine will delight lovers of light and fruity wines.

In accordance with local traditions, we mature our "Fleurie 14 mois" cuvée in oak barrels. The wines are then kept in our vaulted cellars to obtain these woody aromas.

Our story

Our estate has been a small family property for more than five generations. The vines are planted on granitic soil, the preferred soil for the traditional Beaujolais grape variety, Gamay. For our three appellations, Fleurie, Moulin à Vent and Juliénas, three Beaujolais wines, the harvest is manual.

A know-how inherited from generations to generations and whose wines from old vines are highly appreciated and have a very promising ageing potential. We are essentially looking for the quality and typicity of each appellation in order to present fine and authentic wines.
