It is in Rabelaisian soil that Odile and Jean-Max Manceau have been producing their wines since 2001, after 28 years' experience in another renowned estate in Chinon. Lovers of this land, they are keen to share their passion for the profession through their wines and the welcome of the public at the Domaine. Their vines are cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture and they have been biodynamic since 2012.

Our story


Taking over a wine estate remains a passion when you have over 35 years of experience. Chinon is a wonderful appellation rich in history with a grape variety more than a thousand years old. This translates into an 18-hectare estate in Chinon white and red AOC certified organic since 2014, with vintages faithful to the place where they were born. Indeed, we practice geological traceability of our wines, and our land is cultivated biodynamically, which brings a beautiful diversity in styles. Our different wines are suitable for all seasons, all cuisines, and some of them have the capacity to age for many years.

Born at the foot of a vine, I have always wanted to be in harmony with nature, what could be more sincere than wanting to make authentic wines that we are passionate about every day. After 35 vinifications, the enthusiasm is still strong, with a real pleasure to share our knowledge and our wines. Our know-how offers wines of high expression with a particular signature, in the image of the winemaker, concerned with the respect of the environment and the tradition.

Having been lucky enough to obtain numerous awards, we are constantly innovating and diversifying our offer, which is why we decided two years ago to vinify part of our whites in terracotta amphoras, ovoid in shape, in order to go further in the purity, minerality and finesse of the aromas and complexity of our wines.
Our desire to know how to make our wines and to transmit our knowledge has led us to offer a personalized welcome to the Domaine by organizing tastings in connection with gastronomy, but also a discovery of the vineyard and a partnership with a restaurant owner and boatman from Chinon.
