Domaine Cheysson is ideally located in the heart of the village of Chiroubles, a few metres from the church in a very special Moorish style, and blossoms in an idyllic setting with a park of more than 100-year-old trees. From the estate you can enjoy a 180° view of all the Beaujolais Crus and up to the Chaîne des Alpes, located more than 200km away. In good weather, Mont Blanc is open to residents and tourists.
On 26 hectares of slopes we produce the Chiroubles cru, the highest cru in Beaujolais, on granitic soils, our Gamay grape variety allows us to obtain a wine with a ruby red colour, tender and very fruity with
red
fruit aromas
.

We also produce Beaujolais blanc with the very high quality Chardonnay grape variety, which allows us to obtain a bright and very bright yellow wine with a very fresh fruity taste reminiscent of citrus fruits.

Our story

Domaine Cheysson is above all a beautiful family history. In 1868, Émile Cheysson, a brilliant industrialist, statesman and sociologist, acquired the estate. Previously, this property belonged to the Monks of the Abbey of Cluny. The latter cleared the hills of Chiroubles and founded a priory on the current site of the estate and remained present until the French Revolution, the entire estate was then sold... marking the beginning of a family adventure. For more than 150 years, from generation to generation, the Cheysson family has never stopped modernizing the farm and developing wine production. Thanks
to this history and the quality of the Domaine's terroirs with evocative names (Côtes Rôties, Grille midi, Les Roches...), the estate now boasts a precise knowledge of the winegrower's profession but has also equipped itself with state-of-the-art equipment and materials which have enabled us to obtain numerous awards at competitions and in famous
guides.
Today, if the 17th century cellars have been preserved and attest to the age of the estate, the estate now has 26 hectares of vines, in the Chiroubles and Beaujolais
Blanc
appellation
.
