Our family vineyard is located in the commune of Turckheim, near Colmar. We work on our 12 hectares of vines on granitic soil facing due south: an ideal location for a vineyard. We produce Crémants d'Alsace, Grands Crus and Vendanges Tardives on 4 different ranges, the grape varieties of our estate are typical of the region. The vines include Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurtztraminer and Pinot Noir. Our 4 ranges are composed of a Crémant d'Alsace, 10 single-varietal Tradition vintages, 3 Grands Crus Brand and 1 Clos de la Treille and 2 Vendanges Tardives, and we offer the best possible quality to the vines to obtain controlled yields and a grape maturity that will bring out the incredible characteristics of the soil on which the vineyard is planted.

Our story

Since the early 1990s, we have been working to give our vineyard the best possible treatment. In 1998, we were pioneers in the region and wanted to preserve as much as possible the plant and animal species that had settled in the vineyard. That same year, our vineyard was certified Organic by Ecocert. By continuing in this dynamic and increasing our requirements to give back all its natural aspect to the vine, we obtained in 2001 the Biodynamic vineyard label by Biodyvin Pierre and Thomas, currently winemaker at the estate, like to say: "Biodynamics adds a layer of complexity, purity ensures balanced wines"; "The great quality of our wines is directly linked to the attention we pay to the vines".

Other little stories

Our legendary cuvée Le Sang du Dragon is made exclusively from Pinot Noir from the plains and hills of Brand. It takes its name from the legend telling the story of the ancestral life of the dragons, living on the Brand, and whose blood, after their death, spilled into the ground, making it more fertile. These plots have a high planting density and low yields, resulting in a richer and more concentrated wine. This cuvée is aged in barrels between 18 and 20 months.
