The estate is mainly planted with old vines and offers balanced vintages with elegant aromas. 2013 saw the estate completely renovated and modernised with a new philosophy centred on the care of the vine with a cellar at the cutting edge of technology and applying an ancestral wine-growing tradition. our wines are AOC Chinon and bottled at the estate - Red Wines and Rosé 100% Cabernet Franc - White Wine 100% Chenin, an iconic grape variety of Loire wines.
Hélène and Claire, are the descendants of the Gosset winegrowers family in Ay en Champagne since 1584 and who in 1951 bought a vineyard in Chinon. The cultivation of the vine and the know-how are rooted in the family. In this family continuity and in order to perpetuate tradition and excellence, Jean Max Manceau who was already working with Albert Gosset in the family estate in Chinon is now the Cellar Master of the Domaine.
"The history of our label once again reflects our very personal history: it begins with a painting given many years ago by the painter Jutand to our mother, Marie Agnès Gosset Demars. While we were looking for our signature, this painting of a woman with a grape headdress became obvious to us. It was yesterday, it's today, it's us."
