The Domaine Christophe et Daniel Rampon is located in the commune of Villié-Morgon, in the heart of the Beaujolais vintages, about 50km north of Lyon. We work in a traditional way with the vines on the Beaujolais Villages, Fleurie, Chiroubles, Moulin à Vent and Morgon appellations.
The Christophe et Daniel Rampon estate is a family wine-growing estate that is passed on from father to son, currently run by Christophe. Christophe is the 4th generation to work on this property. After studying viticulture and obtaining a Bac-Pro diploma in 2001, I decided to settle down the following summer, while continuing to work on my parents' estate (Mireille and Daniel). In 2015, Mireille and Daniel and Christophe decided to combine the two farms. We strive to preserve the traditions of the Beaujolais vineyard with tillage, manual harvesting and traditional semi-carbonic vinification in whole bunches. We are artisan winegrowers.
Just like Obelix who fell into the small pot, I have always been in the middle of vines, grapes, pickers, wine, bottles. The question "what do you want to do later" was not asked at all or only a little. I had to continue to make this farm prosper, which my grandfather Lucien developed, and which he knew for many years, since he was a magnificent centenary.
