Diary #3: The highlight of the last few months at Château Lamothe de Haux has been, of course, the harvest for our white wines: mechanical harvesting except for our "Cuvée Valentine" which is in a way our signature wine!

This year again, but perhaps even more so than in 2014 , the clay soils have given us very high-quality grapes. The only drawback is that the harvest was somewhat less prolific than the previous vintage… The harvest continued for our red wines, which should also yield some very fine reds, very flavorful and structured. Without wanting to fall into the trap of the myth that "all years that are multiples of 5 produce great wines," a belief rather firmly established in Bordeaux , the 2015 vintage looks truly promising, oscillating between the potential of 2010 and the warm and charming character of 2009… We should be in for a treat!
