Diary Entry #3: It’s been a long and costly journey, but the hard work of Marc, my father, has finally paid off. In 2005, the Mollard grape was officially added to the French catalog of grape varieties. A well-deserved reward for the winemaker and the institutions that supported him!

Laetitia Allemand: I am a winemaker and journalist

I should mention that before becoming a winemaker, I was a journalist. I’m still a bit of one… When people ask me what these two professions could possibly have in common, I tell them they’re not all that different! In both cases, you have to be curious, enjoy meeting people, and take pleasure in sharing and exchanging ideas…

Furthermore, I see wine as the result of a true “artistic creation.” It is the product of a specific terroir, but also—and above all—an expression of the winemaker’s sensibility.

Winemaker Jacques Puisais often says, “I want wines that reflect the character of the place where they were born and the spirit of those who made them.” I share the same aspirations. I hope to introduce you to unique and distinctive wines, and to share with you the adventure of my career change!
