Mousse-Tache rosé

Vin de France | Rosé | NM

Jeff Carrel breaks new ground by crafting sparkling wines in a unique way. By eschewing traditional methods and bottle aging on the lees, he opts for a process in which carbon dioxide is subtly incorporated, resulting in a delicately fine effervescence. This process yields a quality of bubbles comparable to that of the finest Crémants, while remaining accessible and original. The result is a wine of remarkable finesse, vibrant and elegant.

Our Review of the Cuvée

To the eye, this wine captivates with its subtle hue, somewhere between salmon pink and tea rose, dotted with elegant bubbles. The nose, though understated, reveals inviting aromas of candied red berries, enhanced by notes of blood orange and spices. On the palate, the wine surprises with its liveliness and elegance, supported by striking tension and a round, luscious texture. The micro-bubbles offer a sensation that is both caressing and effervescent. The lingering finish is marked by a delicate hint of kumquat bitterness, prolonging the impression of red berries and subtle spices. A complete and refined sensory experience.

Jeff Carrel is one of those wine personalities difficult to categorize. A former consulting oenologist who became a négociant-winemaker, he collaborates with vignerons from Languedoc, Roussillon, and the Southwest to create accessible, authentic, and often very well-crafted cuvées for their price point.

His approach is primarily based on fruit, balance, and tasting pleasure. No unnecessary embellishment: Jeff Carrel's wines aim to remain delightful, easy to drink, and true to their terroir. Some cuvées have become true staples for Southern wine enthusiasts, thanks to their consistency and excellent value for money.

Generous reds, fresh and aromatic whites, more ambitious cuvées, or everyday wines: this collection encapsulates Jeff Carrel's universe, featuring bottles that appeal equally to curious amateurs and passionate connoisseurs seeking delightful discoveries.
