The winegrowers of the Saumur region, passionate about wine, have successfully transformed their agricultural heritage into a 30-hectare vineyard in the heart of the Saumur appellation. With 50% Cabernet Franc, 30% Chenin Blanc, and 20% Chardonnay, our wines combine suppleness, fruitiness, and elegance. The 'Mélodie' cuvée, a perfect expression of our clay-limestone terroirs, is a Chenin Blanc that is both mineral and fruity, ideal for enjoying now or cellaring for a few years. This wine has a pale yellow color with emerald highlights. On the nose, delicate notes of white flowers and fresh fruit emerge. On the palate, it reveals a beautiful harmony with perfect balance and fresh fruit aromas that linger on the finish. Ideal with white fish or sautéed scallops, this wine is a true delight for the palate.

Located in the heart of the Saumur appellation, Domaine du Moulin de l’Horizon spans approximately 30 hectares, situated around the Moulin de l’Horizon hill, one of the highest points in the Saumur region at an altitude of about 110 meters. This topographical position partially shields the vineyard from westerly winds and contributes to a microclimate conducive to the even ripening of the grapes.

The vineyard is situated on clay-limestone and tuffeau soils, which are capable of retaining winter rainfall and ensuring a gradual supply of water throughout the growing season. This geological context contributes to the production of wines with a supple balance and distinct fruit character. The vineyard is dominated by Cabernet Franc (about 50%), complemented by Chenin Blanc (30%) and Chardonnay (20%), allowing for the production of wines in all three colors.
