Mauro is Nadia Verrua's uncle. After a 15-year career in the chemical industry, Mauro pivoted to producing what he had always been passionate about: traditional Piedmontese aperitifs!

Demanding in his craft, Mauro meticulously selects the finest natural Piedmontese wines to craft his herbal and spice macerations. Commonplace brands like Martini, Campari, and others have overshadowed the fact that the tradition of Piedmontese amari dates back to the 18th century and was historically made with the region's best wines! For instance, the Americano is made with Nadia Verrua's Grignolino, and the Vermouth with Moscato and the traditional Cortese grapes! Each of these features a distinct blend of herbs and spices, imparting a unique aromatic profile and characteristic bitterness.

Our Review of the Cuvée

On the nose, Mauro's aperitifs unveil a remarkable complexity, intertwining delicate Piedmontese herbal aromas with a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the Americano presents a smooth and balanced texture, attributed to the Grignolino, while the Vermouth, crafted with Moscato, captivates with its aromatic richness and refined character. Each sip offers a rediscovery of traditional Piedmontese craftsmanship, where bitterness harmoniously converges with vegetal and spicy notes, delivering an unparalleled sensory experience.
