Château Guilhem, a family estate since 1878, cultivates its 35 hectares of vines organically, nestled against the Malepère massif, earning it the moniker 'the other Languedoc'. The Atlantic grape varieties (Merlot, Cabernets, and Malbec) benefit from the friable soil of Malepère, which imparts a beautiful freshness to the wines. This is a delightful wine, perfectly expressing the varietal's typicity, stemming from a captivating family history and a unique terroir.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This particularity is reflected in the estate's varietal composition, intentionally featuring Atlantic-inspired grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernets, and Malbec. This choice bestows upon the wines a unique profile within the Languedoc terroir, often referred to as 'another Languedoc,' where freshness and structure are prioritized over solar intensity.
