Our Review of the Cuvée

The color is quite dark, a deep ruby red. While still young, its aromas evoke a spring garden, with notes of red berries (raspberry, strawberry, cherry) and black berries (blackcurrant, blackberry). The fairly deep soil is well-suited to a full-bodied, generous Pinot Noir.

Burgundy | France

Domaine Cauvard is a family-owned winery located in Beaune, Burgundy. It cultivates approximately eighteen hectares of vineyards spread across several communes in the Côte de Beaune, including appellations such as Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Aloxe-Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.

Production follows a traditional approach, with a focus on vineyard management and plot-by-plot winemaking to preserve the identity of each terroir. Harvesting may be done by hand or by machine, depending on the vintage.

I do not have any information regarding the year the estate was established or whether it holds any official organic or environmental certifications.
