This Jura Chardonnay comes from vines over 40 years old, planted on the Trouillots terroir, composed of Lias gryphaea limestone and clay. Organically farmed since 2014, it is harvested manually and then pressed directly. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in topped-up barrels. The wine is neither filtered nor sulphited.

The estate is located in Poligny (39800, Jura), in one of the Jura's historic wine-growing regions. It is a family estate that Valentin Morel took over in 2014, after studying law and pursuing an initial career outside the wine industry. Under his guidance, the estate was renamed Les Pieds sur Terre (Feet on the Ground), a name that reflects his philosophy of natural viticulture that respects the terroir. The vines had already been cultivated organically by his father, Jean-Luc, since 1999 and have since evolved towards more pronounced biodynamic practices under Valentin.

The estate covers approximately 6 to 7.5 hectares of vines planted on marl and limestone soils around Poligny, in the Côtes du Jura AOC. The grape varieties cultivated are typical of the Jura region: Savagnin, Chardonnay, Poulsard, Trousseau, and Pinot Noir; Valentin is also experimenting with hybrid varieties to adapt to climate change.
