This wine, made entirely from Cabernet Franc grapes, is produced using natural winemaking methods with no added sulfites, which preserves the integrity and purity of the fruit. Grown on gravelly and clay soils, the grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness. The two-week maceration process uses native yeasts, followed by 12 months of aging in concrete tanks. Unfiltered and certified as a "Vin Méthode Nature," it offers an authentic experience that respects biodiversity.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This wine stands out for its translucent garnet color and delicate bouquet, where subtle blackcurrant blends with floral notes and a hint of peppery spice. On the palate, it reveals a round, airy texture that intensifies, becoming velvety and full-bodied. The fruit shines with purity, dominated by hints of violet. The finish is alluring, with a light liveliness thanks to the skillful management of carbonation: a sensation of tart blackcurrant and raspberry candy pleasantly caresses the tongue, offering a taste experience that is both indulgent and refined.

Domaine Amirault, le Clos des Quarterons

Loire | France

Located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Clos des Quarterons is a family estate rooted in the region for over 180 years. It is currently managed by Xavier Amirault and his wife Agnès, who cultivate approximately 30 hectares of vines within the appellation's strictly defined area.

The vineyard benefits from a particularly favorable environment: a forest to the north protects the plots from cold winds, while south-facing slopes provide consistent sunshine. The soils exhibit significant diversity, blending gravels, tuffeau directly exposed in the limestone, and deeper areas with a predominant clay composition. This geological variety necessitates precise plot-by-plot management.

The estate is managed using organic farming practices, complemented by a progressively integrated biodynamic approach, with particular attention paid to vine observation and soil vitality. Vinifications are conducted plot by plot to preserve the specific characteristics of each terroir.
