Our opinion on the vintage

This wine boasts a beautiful, deep color and a golden hue with green and pearly highlights. The nose reveals smoky character and a buttery, brioche-like touch, followed by exotic notes of flint, hazelnut butter, iris, mango, and pineapple, along with spicy hints of fenugreek. On the palate, there is a lovely harmony between power and body, with a smooth texture and a finish underpinned by a mineral character. A generous and aromatic wine, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with food.

Philippe and Sylvain Ravier

Philippe et Sylvain Ravier

Savoie | France

The Philippe and Sylvain Ravier estate is a family-run vineyard located in Myans, in the heart of the Combe de Savoie. The Ravier family has cultivated vines for several generations, and Philippe Ravier began working at the estate in the 1970s. His son Sylvain joined him in the 2000s. The estate covers approximately 40 hectares of vines spread across clay-limestone soils around Mont Granier, Myans, and Fréterive. Some plots are certified High Environmental Value (HVE), and the estate is managed using sustainable viticulture practices.

The wines produced are primarily from the Vin de Savoie or Bugey appellations and include whites (Jacquère, Chardonnay, Roussette de Savoie), reds (Mondeuse, Gamay, Pinot Noir), rosés, and some sparkling or sweet wines. Winemaking is traditional, with controlled fermentation and aging in tanks or barrels depending on the vintage. The estate offers cellar tours and tastings by appointment.
