Hand-harvesting and the use of carbonic maceration for the Syrah grapes give this blend a unique complexity. The Cabardès terroir, blending Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, creates a harmonious marriage of Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Grown on clay-limestone slopes at an altitude of 300 meters, this wine offers a velvety texture, intense aromas of black fruit, and a minty freshness on the finish. A pleasure to enjoy now or to age.

Our Review of the Cuvée

With its deep purple color, this wine captivates us from the very first glance. The nose stands out for its remarkable intensity, with notes of velvety blackcurrant, smoked bacon, and black olives. On the palate, the experience is stunningly smooth, blending body and softness to create an almost immersive sensation. The finish stands out with a minty freshness accompanied by intense blackcurrant, which gently intensifies, lingering with beautiful length. Best enjoyed slightly warmed to room temperature, it pairs wonderfully with elaborate dishes or aged cheeses, creating an unforgettable symphony of flavors.

Domaine de Cabrol

Languedoc | France

Cabardès draws on the interplay between Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, and the Cabrol estate has been exploring this fusion for decades. Cabernet, Syrah, and Grenache grow side by side here, producing bright, lively wines with delicate tannins. The winemaking process prioritizes fine-grained texture, avoiding heavy extraction, and allows the limestone terroir to shine through clearly. The result is an ethereal, almost graphic balance, enhanced by subtle aging. Cabrol has long demonstrated that this still relatively unknown appellation possesses a true uniqueness.
