Pique de Nore 2024

Vin de France | White | 2024

This white wine captivates with its perfect balance of freshness and roundness. Originating from a unique terroir that blends Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, it benefits from meticulous winemaking: staggered hand-harvesting ensures optimal grape ripeness, followed by a subtle pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation, primarily in stainless steel tanks, preserves its vibrant aromas. Careful aging in new demi-muids adds complexity without compromising its freshness.

Our opinion on the vintage

Visually, this wine displays a brilliant pale gold hue. While the subtle nose releases notes of pear, nectarine, and fresh pineapple, the palate, from the very first sip, surprises with its freshness. A round and luscious texture offers a pleasant chewiness, rare for a white wine. The aromatic profile combines lemon with a touch of salinity. The finish impresses with its vibrancy, blending a fine bitterness and a delicate astringency, all prolonged by the flavor of lemon pulp. Enjoy it at around 10-12°C; ideal with turbot or goat cheese.
Guide from the Revue du Vin de France: Vintage 2021, Coup de cœur, score 92.

Domaine de Cabrol

Languedoc | France

Cabardès plays on the meeting of Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, and the Cabrol estate has been exploring this intersection for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache coexist here, producing luminous, vibrant wines supported by fine tannins. Vinification prioritizes the wine's delicate texture, avoiding heavy extraction, and allows for a clear expression of the limestone terroir. The result is an ethereal, almost graphic balance, enhanced by discreet aging. Cabrol has long demonstrated that this still relatively unknown appellation possesses a truly unique character.
