Villa des Anges Red Blend Réserve 2022

Vin de France | Rouge | 2022

Produced by the talented Jeff Carrel in the Languedoc, this wine comes from a terroir of clay-limestone alluvial soils and derives its character from the Mediterranean climate and sea breezes. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, it undergoes meticulous vinification in concrete tanks with punch-down extraction and aging in French oak barrels, developing a deep and refined structure. Sustainable vineyard management ensures a harvest of optimal quality.

Our Review of the Cuvée

Upon opening, this wine reveals a deep garnet color with purplish highlights. The nose offers a veritable explosion of candied black and red fruits, subtly intertwined with hints of spice, vanilla, and toasted bread. On the palate, it reveals a round, enveloping texture dominated by aromas of blackberry cream and black cherry. The freshness of blackcurrant and menthol, characteristic of Cabernet Sauvignon, emerges subtly in the background. The long, savory finish highlights notes of chalky tannins accompanied by toasty and vanilla hints, leaving a pleasantly fruity and spicy impression.
