Made exclusively from the Gamay grape variety, this wine is produced using semi-carbonic maceration, without added sulfites or exogenous yeasts, thereby preserving the natural qualities of the grape. Its maturation in large oak vats (foudres) and barrels imparts a balanced structure and aromatic complexity. This wine is characterized by its freshness and authentic expression of the terroir.

Our Review of the Cuvée

This Gamay offers subtle aromas of fresh red fruits on the nose, enhanced by a delicate floral note. On the palate, it reveals a silky texture and a pleasing roundness. Maturation in large oak vats (foudres) contributes aromatic complexity while maintaining a long and elegant finish. The mouthfeel is both light and velvety.

At Puzelat, the philosophy is not to correct the wine, but to guide it. Producing Gamay or Menu Pineau in Touraine thus becomes an exercise in controlled freedom. The cuvées often display very open, almost juicy fruit, yet are supported by an acidic backbone that keeps them precise. They are uniquely themselves. This has been the house's signature for decades.
