Les Cailloux Du Paradis

Quartz 2023

Vin de France | White | 2023

This wine, made from 60% old vines and 40% ungrafted vines, is produced without the addition of sugar or sulfur. Vinification follows a traditional barrel method, resulting in a ripe and flavorful wine. It expresses itself with notes of quince, pineapple, ripe pear, and sweet spices. Thanks to improved cellar management, the once more pronounced oxidative style has softened, allowing this wine to stand out for its balance and richness.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine reveals an expressive nose with enticing aromas of quince and pineapple, enhanced by a touch of ripe pear and sweet spices. On the palate, the texture is full and structured, with remarkable savoriness that lingers beautifully. The sensations are harmonious, with an underlying minerality that develops into a subtly saline finish. A wine that captivates with its complexity and its ability to age gracefully, promising a rich sensory experience for lovers of natural flavors.

Claude Courtois has long crafted uncompromising, free-spirited wines in the Sologne region. Long macerations, extended aging, zero artifice. This results in singular, sometimes disconcerting, often captivating cuvées. In short: pure and unadulterated. Each vintage follows its own logic.
