Our opinion on the vintage

The wine is a very dark, opaque purple. The nose is expressive, with aromas of black fruit cream and a hint of yogurt. The palate is round, full, and velvety, offering a pulpy, juicy texture bursting with fruit and freshness, with a very slight effervescence in the background adding a touch of liveliness. The overall impression is one of rare deliciousness and digestibility (12% alcohol). The finish delivers an even more fruity and indulgent chewiness, with notes of blackberry, menthol, and cocoa, immediately inviting another sip.

Château Beynat

Château Beynat

Bordeaux | France

On the slopes of Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux, Château Beynat offers a measured and accessible interpretation of Merlot, the estate's predominant grape variety. The vineyard is planted on gently sloping hillsides, characteristic of the area, which promote gradual ripening and natural balance.

The estate is managed biodynamically, an approach that here translates into a quest for stability and continuity rather than stylistic flourishes. Winemaking favors gentle extractions and carefully controlled aging, allowing the wine to evolve slowly and smoothly. Some cuvées express themselves in a fuller register, while others develop more focused profiles, marked by a subtle minerality.

The wines are distinguished by their calm progression and aging potential, with a restrained yet persistent expression. The entire body of work at Château Beynat offers a unique interpretation of Castillon, based on precision, restraint, and enduring elegance.
