Domaine Le Jonc Blanc

Flower 2022

Bordeaux | White | 2022

This white wine is the result of a winemaking process that respects nature, using indigenous yeasts without any additives, giving it a rare authenticity. The Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Petit Manseng grape varieties blend beautifully on a clay-limestone and sandy-clay terroir. After hand-harvesting, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 14 months in stainless steel tanks, bringing finesse and complexity to its texture.

Our opinion on the vintage

On the nose, this wine reveals a rich aromatic palette, oscillating between ripe yellow fruits and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it expresses itself with elegant freshness, thanks to its meticulous aging on fine lees, which lends it a beautiful roundness and a persistent mineral touch. Each sip reveals a harmonious complexity, underscored by the diversity of its grape varieties and the richness of its terroir. A wine to savor slowly, which unfolds with each sip, offering a silky and refined sensation.

Domaine Le Jonc Blanc

Loire | France

At Jonc Blanc, Isabelle Carles and Franck Pascal have chosen a demanding, near-biodynamic approach to agriculture, resulting in wines that are honest, structured, and sometimes surprising. The estate works with a variety of grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, and above all, seeks to express the terroir. The wines often display a pronounced character, a dense texture, but also a refreshing energy. The winemaking process remains minimally interventionist, which gives the wines a unique and easily recognizable personality.
