Petite Selve 2024

Vin de France | Red | 2024

This wine reveals meticulous attention to detail in its production. The grapes are carefully selected and destemmed before undergoing natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Each day, the wine is gently agitated to extract its full richness, followed by a 20-day maceration that intensifies its aromas. Aging continues for five months in concrete tanks on fine lees, imparting a subtle and refined patina, without fining, to preserve its authenticity.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first glance, this wine captivates with its slightly translucent garnet color. On the nose, it reveals a refined aromatic palette with notes of candied red berries, violet, and a touch of orange peel. On the palate, it surprises with its roundness and breadth, offering a velvety texture where the richness of the fruit is fully expressed, enhanced by sweet spices. The finish is luscious and persistent, marked by hints of bitter orange, cherry compote, and a light note of cocoa, promising a complete and harmonious sensory experience.

La Selve develops a luminous style, where Grenache and Syrah find a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. Varied aging methods (tank, wood, amphora) add depth while preserving the fruit. The wines retain a natural suppleness and a clean aromatic profile.
