Château Eugénie
Anecdotes from the Estate: Through our work as winemakers, we share our passion for the land and the history of our beautiful Lot region. The Cahors appellation now encompasses approximately 4,500 hectares under AOP production. Thanks to collaborative work with local wine industry stakeholders, Cahors wines boast such great diversity, sure to delight wine lovers! Closely linked to local gastronomy, our Cahors wines pair perfectly with traditional duck breast, confit, cassoulet, and goat cheeses like Rocamadour and Cabécou! A Little History of the Estate: According to departmental archives, the Couture family were winemakers in 1470, reportedly in the service of the Lord of Albas. The estate was named Château Eugénie in homage to our great-great-grandmother. Since then, we have perpetuated the family tradition from father to son, thanks to the expertise acquired over generations combined with modern winemaking techniques. The pride of the estate: Château Eugénie is first and foremost a family story. Winemakers from father to son for several centuries, the Couture family perpetuates the family tradition by producing sincere and authentic wines, reflecting our remarkable mosaic of terroirs.
