Our opinion on the vintage

This wine boasts a beautiful ruby color and an intense nose with aromas of blackberry and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is velvety with smooth tannins, leading to a very pleasant, lingering fruitiness. Its well-structured finish lends a real finesse to this wine, perfect for pairing with grilled meats and lamb chops. Best enjoyed at an ideal temperature of 13-14°C, it will delight palates seeking subtlety.

Domaine du Séminaire

Vallée du Rhône | France

Domaine du Séminaire is a family-run vineyard located in Valréas (84600, Vaucluse) in the Enclave des Papes, north of the Rhône Valley. It covers approximately 60 hectares of vines situated between 300 and 400 meters above sea level on clay-limestone and sandy soils. Viticulture is organic and closely aligned with biodynamic principles. The winery, built in 1938, has been modernized over time, and the harvest is done by hand.

The estate produces red, white, and rosé wines under the Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Valréas appellations, using Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc grapes. Winemaking prioritizes indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention. The Pouizin family is now in its fourth generation of winemakers, and the estate has had a tasting room open since 2007.
