Domaine Jessiaume
Domaine Jessiaume is a historic vineyard located in Santenay (21590), in the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 1850 by the Jessiaume family, it covers approximately 15 hectares spread across Santenay, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Auxey-Duresses, and Chassey-le-Camp. The largest parcel is Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières. The estate was acquired in 2007 by Sir David Murray and then taken over in 2020 by Dr. Jean-François Le Bigot, with the technical team led by William Waterkeyn. Viticulture is organic, with hand-harvesting and winemaking practices that respect the terroir.
The red wines are made from Pinot Noir and the white wines from Chardonnay, with a few parcels of Aligoté. The appellations include Santenay, Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, Auxey-Duresses, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, and other regional Burgundy appellations. The wines are renowned for their finesse, balance, and aromatic expression of the terroir.
