Monbazillac Ça Sulfit 2024

Monbazillac | White | 2024

Thanks to its clay-limestone soil and careful selection, this sulfite-free wine is a blend of Sémillon and Muscadelle grapes. Successive sorting of the harvest yields botrytized grapes, which, after meticulous settling and a 20-day fermentation, reveal their full aromatic richness. Aging with regular racking and stirring of the fine lees enhances the wine's smooth and harmonious texture, making it as complex as it is enjoyable.

Our opinion on the vintage

The first impression upon discovering this wine is its striking golden hue, immediately captivating the eye. On the nose, it unfolds an enchanting aromatic palette with scents of orange marmalade, passion fruit, and roasted pineapple, all enhanced by a subtle hint of saffron. On the palate, it surprises with its freshness and complexity: candied and exotic flavors underpinned by a touch of honey and toffee. The finish is marked by a citrusy acidity, an elegant bitterness reminiscent of Seville orange, and a light astringency of grapefruit peel, perfectly balancing the sweetness. This wine, with its refined structure, is ideal to be savored as a prelude to a convivial moment.
