Anecdotes from the estate: The valley (which is well worth a visit) is dominated by Mount Canigou. It's a vast playground for hikers and other enthusiasts of whitewater sports, nature, history, culture, mushrooms, and… quality wines. A little history of the estate: The vineyard, currently undergoing organic conversion, is located at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters. It comprises seven plots scattered around the village. Le Mousquier: Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc share this clay-limestone terroir, on a very gentle south-facing slope. The La Réserve cuvée fully benefits from this beautiful exposure. Le Cagne: On these plots, we find Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Sauvignon Blanc, which give these typical aromas to the "L'Audacieux" cuvée. Le Ravin des Sieures: The Syrah from this vineyard is bathed in sunshine and brings lovely fruit to the "L'Espiègle" cuvée. Garrigue Haute: The two Syrah plots combine 10-year-old and 30-year-old vines; they blend perfectly in "L'Audacieux" and "L'Espiègle." Bram Fam: This exceptional terroir allows the full expression of Syrah aged in oak barrels and very old Carignan vines, which are between 55 and 85 years old. Cougoumeilles: A very fine Grenache that is used in a new cuvée (aged in barrels). The pride of the Molin'Agly estate is the contraction of Moulin (Molin in Occitan) and Agly, the river that flows through this valley north of Perpignan (Roussillon). The estate (established in 2014) is located in the village of Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes, at the end of the Agly Valley. The village is a few kilometers from Cucugnan, the famous Cathar castles, the magnificent Galamus Gorges, and close to the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees Mountains. The valley (well worth a visit) is dominated by Mount Canigou. It's a vast playground for hikers and other enthusiasts of whitewater sports, nature, history, culture, mushrooms, and… quality wines. In organic conversion since 2014, the vineyard benefits from both the Mediterranean climate and the proximity of the Pyrenees. At this altitude of approximately 350-400m, the estate produces wines that admirably combine the advantages of the sunny climate and the freshness specific to the local terroir.
