Ferraton is a story, a people, the land… With nearly 30 cuvées from the Northern to the Southern Rhône Valley, we do our utmost to showcase the prestigious terroirs we have access to. Anecdotes from the estate: Passionate and faithful to the legacy of those who forged the identity of Ferraton & Fils, the men who make up this estate today are united by a strong bond of brotherhood. They are dedicated to working the land, the vines, and the wine, always respecting their environment to create precise and generous wines that truly reflect their terroir. It was in 1998 that Maison Ferraton took the step towards biodynamic farming thanks to Michel Chapoutier and his expertise. The quality of the wines is now prioritized and preserved. The estate makes every effort to uphold its values. Starting with respect for the soil, so that it yields all its riches, allowing the vines to express the unique characteristics of these terroirs with their distinct identities. All this with the sole aim of creating simple yet bold wines, ready to be shared during convivial moments, true to the heritage of family tradition. A little history of the estate: The estate's lands have always been home to the Ferraton Père et Fils cellars and tasting room. The winery owns vineyards in the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, and Saint-Joseph appellations. But it also brings its winemaking and aging expertise to other renowned terroirs such as Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Cornas, and many others. Today, a young and dynamic team works to perpetuate the know-how acquired over several decades. People who live and breathe the land and the vine. Men who strive to remain true to their heritage and embody the new inspirations of the House. The pride of the estate: The story of Ferraton Père et Fils began in 1946 with Jean Orëns Ferraton. His son, Michel, inherited the same passion, took over the estate, and converted it to organic viticulture. The men who make up this estate today are united by a strong fraternal bond, all passionate and faithful to their heritage. They are committed to working the land, the vines, and the wine with respect for the environment.
