Domaine des Roches, run by Jérôme Lenoir and his family in Beaumont-en-Véron within the Chinon appellation in the Loire Valley, is a small family-owned vineyard of about 3.5 hectares, passed down through several generations. The plots are primarily planted with Cabernet Franc, complemented by a small plot of Chenin, some of whose old vines have their roots deep in the bedrock.

The grapes are harvested by hand, and the winemaking process is natural, with fermentation using native yeasts. Aging, which can be lengthy in very old wooden casks, aims to produce structured, deep red wines that faithfully reflect the expression of the terroir. A rare white Chinon is also produced from old Chenin vines that have been aged for several years.

The estate's production is limited, with only a small number of bottles produced per vintage, which gives its wines a rare and prized character sought after by lovers of natural wine and fine wines
