This Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion displays a deep ruby color and a generous nose of ripe red fruit, underscored by delicate spicy notes. Our opinion on the vintage

This cuvée from Château Clarisse perfectly expresses the style of Bordeaux's Right Bank. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, grown on the clay-limestone slopes of Puisseguin, it combines fruit, freshness, and structure in an approachable and balanced profile. The nose reveals aromas of red and black fruits, accompanied by floral notes and sweet spices. On the palate, the tannins are supple, the structure harmonious, and the finish persistent. An organic wine, carefully crafted, to be served with roast poultry, stews, or aged cheeses.

At the heart of the clay-limestone plateau of Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, near Saint-Émilion, Château Clarisse embodies a modern and demanding approach to Bordeaux wine. Created by Olivia and Didier Le Calvez, the estate spans 24 hectares across the Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion and Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellations, offering an exceptional terroir where each parcel reveals its unique personality.

The deep soils, enriched with fossilized limestone, act as a natural water reserve and allow the vines to ripen in perfect balance. The plateau, located over 100 meters above sea level, ensures optimal drainage, ideal light exposure, and natural freshness that brings tension and elegance to the grapes.

The vineyard is primarily planted with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, complemented by Petit Verdot and Carménère, allowing for complex and refined blends. Viticulture is conducted with respect for the environment and biodiversity: hedges, beehives, agroforestry, and a botanical garden accompany the life ... Lire plus
