Arnaud Combier's Domaine des Moriers offers a refined Gamay, grown on granitic soil and produced using sulfite-free methods to preserve its natural character. Carbonic maceration and the use of indigenous yeasts result in wines with an ethereal texture and a delicate sweetness. Aging on fine lees enhances the aromatic complexity, offering a refined balance and an exceptional mouthfeel.

Our opinion on the vintage

This Gamay, from Lancié, captivates at first glance with its translucent garnet color, flecked with orange highlights. The nose, discreet yet nuanced, evokes candied raspberry accompanied by floral notes and a subtle touch of spices such as pepper and bay leaf. On the palate, it offers an experience of silky smoothness and breadth, where ripe fruit mingles with bitter orange and a few sweet spices. The finish leaves a lasting impression with a slightly chalky texture, evoking aromas of stewed fruit, spices, and undergrowth, capturing the elegance and complexity of an autumn in a bottle.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
