Vin de France | White | 2025

The Chenin Blanc, grown on vines over 40 years old, fully expresses its character thanks to a unique terroir blending gravelly, sandy soils and silt from the hills of Capestang. Careful vinification, with direct pressing and low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks, reveals a pure and fresh texture. Aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks accentuates the vivacity and elegance of this wine, ensuring a bright and energetic finish.

Our opinion on the vintage

At first glance, this wine is captivating with its brilliant straw-yellow color. The nose, initially somewhat reserved, gradually opens up with aromas of lemon and white fruit, enhanced by a subtle chalky note. On the palate, the experience is unexpected, marked by a vibrant acidity that structures the whole. The texture is delicately percussive thanks to a slight effervescence that stimulates the palate. The finish, taut and invigorating, offers bitter notes of citrus peel and quinine, a distinctive signature of Chenin Blanc from this terroir.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
