Pot de vin Blanc

Vin de France | White | NM

The estate cultivates its vines organically on 35 hectares of clay-limestone slopes. Facing south and southwest, these terroirs benefit from Atlantic and Mediterranean influences, giving the wines suppleness and aromatic richness. The predominant Chardonnay grape is vinified after direct pressing in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures, thus preserving the complexity and freshness of the aromas.

Our opinion on the vintage

On tasting, this wine captivates with its bright, luminous, pale gold color. The nose reveals enchanting aromas of roasted white fruits and toasted hazelnuts, enhanced by a subtle touch of truffle and honey. On the palate, it surprises with its elegance and freshness, supported by delicate acidity and a smooth texture. Its ample character and flavorful finish, blending roasted apple, toasted dried fruits, and a refined bitterness, will seduce wine lovers. This wine is perfect as a sophisticated aperitif or paired with grilled fish.

Located in Malviès, between Limoux and Carcassonne, Château Guilhem has been a family estate since 1878, now run by the fifth generation. The estate covers approximately 35 hectares of vines, cultivated organically, grouped around the property and backing onto the Malepère massif, in western Languedoc.

This area stands out from the rest of the region due to its cooler climate, influenced by its proximity to the Pyrenees. This distinctive characteristic is reflected in the estate's grape varieties, deliberately chosen for their Atlantic influence: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Soils play a central role in the balance of wines. The Malepère massif takes its name from a friable rock, unsuitable for construction but particularly well-suited to vines. These soils retain water ... Lire plus
