This cuvée is made from 100% Gamay grapes grown on a terroir of deep granite mixed with alluvial pebbles, resulting in an authentic and expressive style. The vines, averaging 50 years old, are meticulously trained in the goblet style and harvested by hand. The precise vinification process, with 80% destemmed grapes and fermentation in tanks, is followed by aging on fine lees for 8 months, ensuring a silky texture and exceptional depth.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine reveals a vibrant nose, rich in fresh and fruity aromas characteristic of Gamay. On the palate, it seduces with a lively attack and notes of red fruit that harmonize with an elegant texture, the result of aging on fine lees. The wine then unfolds with a beautifully balanced structure, with a mineral touch inherited from the granite and alluvial terroir. The experience concludes with a long finish that leaves a lingering and flavorful impression.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.
