Le Fiston - Cinsault 2024

Pays D'Hérault | Red | 2024

This IGP Pays d'Hérault wine comes from a unique terroir of clay-siliceous soils and ancient alluvial deposits, using the Cinsault grape variety, meticulously cultivated using both goblet and conventional Guyot training systems. Aging in vats refines the style of this wine, which boasts a round and full structure and is distinguished by its ability to evolve throughout the tasting. Perfect for those who appreciate a beautiful expression of terroir and a silky texture, it is an ideal choice for convivial moments around the table.

Our opinion on the vintage

From the first glance, the wine's deep, translucent ruby color captivates. The nose is finely chiseled, evoking blackberry cream accompanied by raspberry and hints of white pepper, enhanced by a delicate floral touch. On the palate, a round and airy texture unfolds, developing into a rich, full-bodied wine. The tannins appear gradually, providing a beautiful structure. The finish offers a lingering chalky sensation, with powdery tannins, that enhances the return of raspberry and pepper aromas, resulting in a harmonious and refined tasting experience. Perfect with a light meal or barbecue.

Languedoc | France

A trained oenologist and a true free spirit in Languedoc, Jeff Carrel is one of those winemakers who have profoundly revitalized the image of wines from the South of France. For over twenty-five years, he has been exploring Languedoc terroirs with a simple yet demanding idea: to reveal the best of each grape variety, each plot, without ever masking the wine's identity.

Based in Roussillon, Jeff Carrel works hand in hand with a collective of partner winemakers called Les Amis de Jeff Carrel. Together, they select grapes from carefully chosen terroirs, cultivated with respect for the environment, to produce cuvées that are precise, delicious, and consistently excellent.

His style is distinguished by very expressive wines, driven by fruit, freshness, and balance, far from the heavy reds often associated with the South. Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Chardonnay are crafted with finesse to create ... Lire plus
